Overview
Dynamic content settings provide centralized control over which blog content is featured automatically across your shop. These settings help ensure dynamic areas like blog feeds and promotions are always populated with the latest or most relevant information. Any changes made in this group set a default for dynamic content everywhere, unless you specify overrides in individual sections or blocks.
⚠️ Important: Adjusting Dynamic content settings allows you to quickly update the appearance and focus of your site's dynamic content, leading to greater consistency and efficiency throughout your storefront.
Dynamic content settings
Dynamic content settings are designed to streamline content curation, letting you easily select the blog source, apply tag-based filtering, and manage the number of items shown across all dynamic content sections. This fosters a balanced and fresh user experience.
Blog
The Blog setting controls which blog is used as the primary source for all dynamic blog content across your store. This means blog feeds and automatic content areas will consistently pull from your selected blog, unless locally overridden.
Select any available blog in your shop as the universal source for dynamic content.
If you do not select a blog, these dynamic areas may appear empty or fall back to theme defaults.
Choosing the right source blog helps keep your automated content aligned with your merchandising or editorial goals.
Tag
The Tag setting lets you filter which posts display by specifying a tag. This allows you to focus attention on particular content types, ongoing promotions, or recurring features throughout your store.
Enter a tag to limit dynamic listings to only posts containing that tag from the selected blog.
If you leave this field blank, all posts from the chosen blog are eligible for display.
Filtering ensures you can surface highlighted content — such as seasonal or campaign-specific stories — with minimal effort.
Number of items
The Number of items setting defines how many posts are shown by default in each dynamic content area using the settings above.
Choose any number between 0 and 50 to set your preferred item count.
The default is 0.
If set to 0, no content will display in affected areas.
Raising the number allows more posts to populate dynamic blocks, while lower values can focus the layout and reduce clutter.
Consider layout differences on mobile versus desktop, as varying the number of items may enhance the user experience for each device context.
⚠️ Important: Higher item counts can enrich your storefront but may affect load performance or layout clarity, especially for mobile users. Be mindful of these impacts when adjusting for your shop.
Usage notes
Tag filtering simplifies promoting campaigns or seasonal features everywhere on your site with one update.
Lowering the number of items shown can help speed up the site and maintain a clean appearance, especially on smaller screens.
You can override defaults for individual sections or blocks to accommodate specialized layouts or priorities.
Regularly reviewing the display on both desktop and mobile helps ensure optimal presentation and usability.
Dynamic content settings offer a reliable foundation for automated content, yet make it easy to adapt as your merchandising and content strategies evolve.
💡 Tip: Pairing tag filters with concise item limits can help achieve the best blend of relevance and performance. This approach supports efficient updates, smooth content campaigns, and a fresh storefront appearance.
